About Us

Here at Goetre Farm we grow and produce our own special chickens, ducks and pigs – with top-of-the-range Turkeys at Christmas.

Goetre is a small Welsh hill farm on the side of Llanllwni Mountain and here, in these unspoilt surroundings, our business has flourished since 1990 when we started just selling a few dressed chickens to local farmers. We have now expanded our range of products selling to discerning and loyal customers as well as supplying local Farm Shops and restaurants.

All our pigs and poultry are reared on our farm in the traditional way.

The Saddleback pigs roam freely on natural pasture and are fed a cereal diet and forage on root crops. By using organic methods we have no need to use any chemicals or routine antibiotics. Chickens and Ducks are also fed a cereal additive free diet, and again are not reared intensively.

Every aspect of our traditional production methods contributes to the good old fashioned taste and flavour that cannot be achieved in any other way.

The meat you order will have been prepared to the highest standards and matured allowing the flavour to develop fully.

Christmas Produce

Additionally, for the Christmas period we have free range white and bronze Turkeys produced to the "Golden Promise" guaranteed code of practice of the Traditional Farmfresh Turkey Association, of which we are members.
